“A landmark moment for Cascais.” This was how Miguel Pinto Luz, vice-president of Cascais City Council, described it this morning, when Vida Cascais was presented in the gardens of Casa das Histórias Paula Rego. This is a new channel from the City Council where you can find the services and support you need to live a better quality of life. “We are offering all Cascais residents access to a teleconsultation for General and Family Medicine or Paediatrics within half an hour. We are also offering free home delivery of medicines as part of these consultations,” explained Miguel Pinto Luz. “This service that we are providing will mean that many Cascais residents will no longer need to go to Health Centres,” stressed Carlos Carreiras, mayor, which, in the mayor’s view , represents support from Cascais to relieve the overloaded National Health Service.
